Chat Wrapped privacy policy

1. Who we are

This policy covers the Chat Wrapped app for Android (package com.cybs.chatwrapped), available on Google Play. It is made by Cybs Innovations, Main Road, Near KBC Building, Champa, Chhattisgarh 495671, India.

There is no sign-up and no account. We do not run our own servers for this app. Data leaves your phone only through the outside services listed in section 4, or when you choose to send, share or open something yourself.

2. Phone permissions

• Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network, described below.

3. What stays on your phone

• Nothing from your chat. The export is read into memory, counted and dropped when you close the story, close the app or open another chat.
• Whether you bought the one-time upgrade.
• Card images you share, kept for a short time and deleted the next time you open the app.
• Cards you choose to save, in Pictures, Chat Wrapped.

4. Outside services

• Google AdMob: shows a banner on the home screen, a full screen ad when you leave a story (at most once every 2 minutes, never for the demo), an ad when you come back to the app after 30 seconds away, and a video ad you can choose to watch to see a locked card. There are no ads on the story cards. AdMob may use your phone's advertising ID, your IP address (which gives a rough location), ad views and taps, and basic device and crash data to show ads, count them and stop fraud. Where the law asks for it, Chat Wrapped asks for your consent with Google's consent form first. You can change your answer from Privacy and ad settings on the home screen. • Meta Audience Network: an ad network that can offer ads through AdMob. It receives the same kind of data as AdMob, only to show and count ads. Meta Audience Network privacy.
• Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: count how the app is used: imports started, finished or failed, rough chat size in ranges, whether it is a group, the export's date and time format, cards viewed, shares, purchases and ad views. They never receive message text, names, chat titles or file names. Crashlytics sends a report if the app crashes or an import fails, without the error message. • Google Play Billing: handles the one-time upgrade that opens all cards. Google processes the payment, and we never see your payment details. Google Play Billing privacy.

We do not sell personal data.

Your chat is read on your phone and never uploaded to us or anyone else.

The app needs no storage, contacts or media permission. It reads only the export you share or pick.

A shared card goes only to the app you pick. That app's own privacy policy then applies.

The one-time upgrade opens all cards and group stories and removes ads.

Chat Wrapped is left out of Android backup. It has no account and no sign-in.

5. Children

Chat Wrapped is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

6. Deleting your data

• Close the story or the app to drop the chat from memory.
• Delete saved cards from your gallery.
• Uninstall Chat Wrapped, or clear its storage in Android settings, to remove everything.
• To ask us to delete analytics data linked to your app instance, email us.
• To reset or delete your advertising ID, open your phone's Settings, then Google, then Ads.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and laws like it where you live, you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to us or to your data protection authority. Email info@cybsinnovations.com.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, we update this page and the date at the top. The privacy policy for our website is separate: website privacy policy.
