Lenscript privacy policy

1. Who we are

This policy covers the Lenscript app for Android (package com.cybs.lenscript), available on Google Play. It is made by Cybs Innovations, Main Road, Near KBC Building, Champa, Chhattisgarh 495671, India.

There is no sign-up and no account. We do not run our own servers for this app. Data leaves your phone only through the outside services listed in section 4.

2. Phone permissions

• Camera: only on the recording screen, to show the camera and record your video.
• Microphone: only on the recording screen, to record sound with your video. If you say no, Lenscript records video without sound.
• Storage: on Android 9 and older only, when you tap Save, to save your video to the gallery. Newer phones need no permission for this.
• Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob, described below.

3. What stays on your phone

• Your scripts: the title, the text and when you last changed them.
• Your settings: scroll speed, text size, box darkness, mirror text, camera and video quality.
• Takes you have not saved yet, in a private temporary folder. They are deleted when you leave the preview, and anything left over is removed after 24 hours.
• Videos you save, in the Lenscript folder under Movies in your gallery.
• A short count used to space out the ads, such as how many videos you have saved.

4. Outside services

• Google AdMob: shows a banner on the scripts list and, after every second video you save, a full screen ad. There is never an ad after your first save or while you record. AdMob may use your phone's advertising ID, your IP address (which gives a rough location), ad views and taps, and basic device and crash data to show ads, count them and stop fraud. Where the law asks for it, for example in the EEA and the UK, Lenscript asks for your consent with Google's consent form before ads are shown, and you can change your answer from Ad privacy choices in Settings. AdMob does not receive your scripts, videos or sound. Google AdMob privacy.
• Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: count how the app is used (when it's opened and which screens are shown) and send a report if the app crashes (device model, Android version). Firebase uses an app instance ID, device model, Android version and your rough location from your IP address. We use this only to improve the app and fix crashes, not for ads. It does not receive your scripts, videos or sound. Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics privacy.

We do not sell personal data.

The script on your screen is never recorded into the video. Only the camera picture and, if you allow it, the microphone are recorded.

When you tap Share, the video goes only to the app you pick. That app's own privacy policy then applies.

If Android backup is on for your phone, Android may include your scripts and settings in your phone's backup to your Google account. Videos are never included.

Lenscript has no in-app purchases and no sign-in.

5. Children

Lenscript is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

6. Deleting your data

• Delete a script from its menu on the scripts list.
• Discard a take on the preview screen, and delete saved videos from the Lenscript folder in your gallery app.
• Uninstall Lenscript, or clear its storage in Android settings, to remove your scripts and settings.
• To reset or delete your advertising ID, open your phone's Settings, then Google, then Ads.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and laws like it where you live, you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to us or to your data protection authority. Email info@cybsinnovations.com.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, we update this page and the date at the top. The privacy policy for our website is separate: website privacy policy.
