Live Train app
Live Train privacy policy
This policy explains what the Live Train app does with your data, in plain words.
Last updated: 3 November 2026
1. Who we are
This policy covers the Live Train app for Android (package com.cybs.train), available on Google Play. It is made by Cybs Innovations, Main Road, Near KBC Building, Champa, Chhattisgarh 495671, India.
Email: info@cybsinnovations.com · Phone: +91 76971 34405
There is no sign-up and no account. We do not run our own servers for this app. Data leaves your phone only through the outside services listed in section 4.
2. Phone permissions
- Location: only if you open On my train and allow it. The app works out where your train is on its route on your phone, only while that screen is open. Your location is never saved, uploaded or shared. If you say no, the rest of the app still works.
- Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network, described below.
3. What stays on your phone
- The train timetable, which is part of the app.
- Your saved trains and stations, and your recent searches.
- Your settings, such as the theme and 12 or 24 hour time.
4. Outside services
- Google AdMob: shows a banner, ads in lists, a full screen ad after every third train, station or route you open, and an ad when you come back to the app after 30 seconds. There is never more than one full screen ad every 2 minutes, and none in your first minute. AdMob may use your phone's advertising ID, your IP address (which gives a rough location), ad views and taps, and basic device and crash data to show ads, count them and stop fraud. Where the law asks for it, for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Live Train asks for your consent with Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown. You can change your answer from Ad privacy choices under More, then Settings. Google AdMob privacy.
- Meta Audience Network: an ad network that can offer ads through AdMob. It receives the same kind of data as AdMob, only to show and count ads. Meta Audience Network privacy.
- Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: count how the app is used, such as the screens you open and whether a search found trains, using only station codes and train numbers. Crashlytics sends a report if the app crashes, with the device model, Android version and what the app was doing. Firebase uses an app instance ID and your rough location from your IP address, not your identity. It never receives your GPS location, PNR numbers or anything you type. Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics privacy.
We do not sell personal data.
Searches run on your phone, because the whole timetable is inside the app.
For live running status, PNR status and booking, the app opens official websites such as NTES, Indian Railways and IRCTC in your browser. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and the app does not see what you do there.
Your saved items and settings may be part of your phone's own Android backup, which Google and your phone settings control.
The timetable is published by the Ministry of Railways on data.gov.in under the Government Open Data License India. Station locations are from OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). Live Train is not linked to Indian Railways, IRCTC, CRIS or any government body.
The app has no in-app purchases and no sign-in, and it does not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts or photos.
5. Children
Live Train is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
6. Deleting your data
- Remove a saved train or station by tapping its heart again.
- Uninstall Live Train, or clear its storage in Android settings, to remove all your saved items, searches and settings.
- To ask us to delete analytics data linked to your app instance, email us.
- To reset or delete your advertising ID, open your phone's Settings, then Google, then Ads.
For anything else, see app help and support or email us. We reply within 7 working days.
7. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and laws like it where you live, you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to us or to your data protection authority. Email info@cybsinnovations.com.
8. Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, we update this page and the date at the top. The privacy policy for our website is separate: website privacy policy.
