Saaf privacy policy

1. Who we are

This policy covers the Saaf app for Android (package com.cybs.saaf), available on Google Play. It is made by Cybs Innovations, Main Road, Near KBC Building, Champa, Chhattisgarh 495671, India.

There is no sign-up and no account. We do not run our own servers for this app. Data leaves your phone only through the outside services listed in section 4, or when you choose to send, share or open something yourself.

2. Phone permissions

• Folder access: given through Android's folder picker, only to the folder you choose. Saaf has no all files permission and cannot see the rest of your phone.
• Notifications: only if you turn on the weekly auto-scan in Saaf Pro.

3. What stays on your phone

• The list of media files Saaf found, with their size and date, and the results of its scan.
• Files you clean, in Saaf's Bin, for the number of days you choose from 3 to 30. They are then deleted from your phone.
• Your settings and whether you own Saaf Pro.

4. Outside services

• Google ML Kit: reads the text on images to spot greetings and forwards. It is part of the app and runs on your phone. Your images are not sent to Google or to us. Google ML Kit privacy.
• Google AdMob: shows a full screen ad in the free version, only when you leave the screen after a cleanup. There is never one after your first cleanup, never more than one every 3 minutes, and never with Saaf Pro. AdMob may use your phone's advertising ID, your IP address (which gives a rough location), ad views and taps, and basic device and crash data to show ads, count them and stop fraud. Where the law asks for it, for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Saaf asks for your consent with Google's consent form first. You can change your answer from Ad privacy choices in Settings. • Meta Audience Network: an ad network that can offer ads through AdMob. It receives the same kind of data as AdMob, only to show and count ads. Meta Audience Network privacy.
• Google Play Billing: handles the Saaf Pro purchase. Google processes the payment, and we never see your payment details. Google Play Billing privacy.
• Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: count how the app is used, such as a scan finishing, a category opened or a cleanup of 300 MB, with sizes in MB only. Crashlytics sends a report if the app crashes, with the device model and Android version. Firebase uses an app instance ID. They never receive your photos, file names, folder names or any text read from images. You can turn both off in Settings, then Share usage and crash reports. We do not sell personal data.

Scanning, text reading and duplicate checks all happen on your phone. Your photos, videos, file names, folder names and messages are never uploaded.

Saaf never opens your chat backups, voice notes, private chats or files you sent.

Saaf is left out of Android backup.

Saaf is not linked to WhatsApp or Meta Platforms.

5. Children

Saaf is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

6. Deleting your data

• Restore a file from the Bin, or empty the Bin to delete its files now.
• Uninstall Saaf, or clear its storage in Android settings, to remove all its data.
• To ask us to delete analytics data linked to your app instance, email us. Otherwise it is kept for the time set in Google Analytics, 2 months by default.
• To reset or delete your advertising ID, open your phone's Settings, then Google, then Ads.

For anything else, see app help and support or email us. We reply within 7 working days.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and laws like it where you live, you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to us or to your data protection authority. Email info@cybsinnovations.com.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, we update this page and the date at the top. The privacy policy for our website is separate: website privacy policy.
