What BG Photo Motion does

BG Photo Motion turns a still photo into a moving picture. Swipe arrows over water, clouds, smoke or hair, and those parts start to flow in a smooth, endless loop. Paint over people and buildings to keep them still.

Everything is made on your phone, so your photos are never uploaded. The app picks photos with Android's photo picker, needs no sign-up, and is free with ads.

A 32 second tour of BG Photo Motion: pick a photo, draw where it flows, add effects, save a Full HD video or GIF and set it as a live wallpaper.

What you get

Motion arrows
Swipe to set which way things move and how fast. Drag along a river or a line of clouds to add a whole trail of arrows.
Freeze brush
Paint over people and buildings so they stay still. Anchor points pin small details, and a magnifier helps you paint the edges.
Effects and stickers
Add sparkles, snow, rain, hearts, butterflies, light leaks and bokeh, or animated stickers you can move, pinch and turn.
HD video or GIF
Save an MP4 up to 1080p at 24, 30 or 60 fps, or a GIF. Loops last 2 to 10 seconds, and there is no forced watermark.
Frame your shot
Crop to story, square, portrait or widescreen, and rotate or flip the photo before you start.
Live wallpaper
Set any creation as a moving wallpaper for your home and lock screens in one tap.
